Local News Coverage of the 3D Animation Lab & 3D Texas Tech topics

May 30, 2007, marks the debut of the Texas Tech University Libraries 3D Animation Lab. The Lab is an extension of the Digital Media Studio (DMS) and is located on the Second Floor across from the DMS, in Room 205. Although still under construction with remodeling changes, the Lab opens its doors at the end of May.

"Our Library is a collection of services," remarks Dr. Dyal, Dean of the Texas Tech University Libraries. "Books, digital materials, and the Digital Media Studio are among the services we offer. We are expanding our services to include the 3D Animation Lab."

The 3D Animation Lab is open to all users with an eRaider account. The Lab can be used by all ranges of skills from beginner to advanced. The rich collection of software, tools, training and tutorials, textures and models lets users work at their own pace in exploring and developing 3D projects.
